| With Science still a popular choice among players choosing to skip a skill in their hero strategy, Unforeseen Consequences is an excellent choice for your villain strategy. When you consider that your mission-skipping opponent will be paying you 1 power for a failed mission anyway, this obstacle is really playing for free. |

As part of our ongoing efforts to make the Stargate Trading Card Game as fun as possible for all players, we are announcing errata to a small number of cards. We've received feedback from many players over the past weeks and months, and it strongly suggested that some card revisions were needed in order to "level the playing field," particularly on the tournament scene. |

| Standoff (and its counterpart, Risk of Exposure) is a rather strange card from a design perspective. Ordinarily, a low cost obstacle would be meant for the early stages of the games, but this one is clearly best used on the final few turns. |
